Dinnington fell silent on Sunday as people gathered to honour the town’s war dead.
Led by Dinnington Colliery Band, the parade set off from New Street and marched to the war memorial where a short service was held.
Wreaths were laid in memory of servicemen and women who lost their lives in conflicts around the globe, followed by the Last Post and a two-minute silence.
The parade, including Dinnington Air Cadets, members of Dinnington Parish Council and local scouts and brownies, then continued down to St Leonard’s Church for a service of Remembrance.
“It was another excellent turn out from the people of Dinnington,” said David Summerbell, chairman of the Dinnington Branch of the Royal British Legion.
“There were even more people than last year who turned out, which was great to see.”
