VIDEO: Music Success for Megan McKay

A Year Five Ranby House School pupil has been offered a highly prestigious and coveted place at the Junior Royal Northern College of Music.

Megan McKay , 10, is delighted to have secured her place at the Royal Northern on Saturdays.

Megan is about to sit her Grade 6 violin, and after only 18 months tuition is studying Grade 4 piano. Megan will take part in the Academic Studies component of the Junior RNCM timetable.

She will study theory, harmony, composition, aural perception, sight singing and improvisation as part of her musicianship training.

Megan is delighted and thrilled with her recent achievement and deservedly so, according to Ranby House School music director Rachel White .

" Megan is a highly talented young musician and a name to look out for in the future," she said.
