See the evidence from Neil Entwistle trial in our photo gallery and video footage

WORKSOP Guardian Chief Reporter Debbie Lockett examines the evidence in the Neil Entwistle trial.

The media were given exclusive access to the haul gathered in the wake of the killings of Rachel and Lillian Entwistle.

Amongst the evidence is a note penned by Neil Entwistle in which he writes of his love for Rachel - in the past tense.

He tells of how he and Rachel 'had no secrets'. He talks of trust, suggesting the trust between he and his wife 'continued to grow stronger'.

He says of Rachel: "She had a natural gift of being able to read people...it was impossible to fool her."

"If she spent any time with you, it was because she knew what a good person you are."

Also amongst the evidence is a photo of the bed in which little Lillian was shot by Entwistle. During the course of the trial, Entwistle was heard saying he 'saw bubbles' coming from Lillian's mouth as she lay dying.

Prosecutors insist he saw the bubbles because he shot the nine-month-old girl at point blank range before shooting Rachel in the head.

He, and his mother and father - Yvonne and Cliff Entwistle - claim Rachel killed her baby, before turning her father-in-law's gun on herself.

After the trial, Yvonne Entwistle said she 'knew Rachel was depressed'. The defence did not offer up this notion as evidence during the trial.

You can also see photos of Rachel and Lillian, one of which is taken from the computer screensaver. That computer was later found to have a trail of sordid activity in its memory.

It showed someone had trawled the web in search of ways to kill someone with a knife. It also revealed the user 'ENT' had a penchant for female escorts as well as sex swinger and dating sites.
