Rotary gives to groups

THE Rotary Club of Worksop has given cheques totaling £2,5000 to several local groups.

President of the Worksop Rotary Club, Graham Warburton, handed out the cheques at a recent presentation evening attended by Bassetlaw Council chairman Coun Ian Campbell.

Mr Warburton said it was part of the rotary’s aim to help worthy groups in the local community.

The groups who received money were Woodsetts Scouts, a community garden project at Claylands, the Worksop Live at Home Scheme, Worksop Street Pastors, Valley Social Club, the new beavers club at 12th Worksop Scouts, the Worksop and District Stroke Club and the boxing club at Manton Athletic Club.
