Pedestrian hit by motorbike in Costhorpe

An elderly woman is in a serious condition in hospital after been struck by a motorbike in Costhorpe last night (Tuesday).

The accident happened on Doncaster Road at around 6.40pm.

A Notts Police spokesman said the elderly woman suffered serious injuries and was taken to Doncaster Royal Infirmary for treatment.

She has since been transferred to a hospital in Sheffield.

The road was closed in both directions for more than three hours and was reopened at 10pm.

Notts Police is appealing for anyone witnesses to contact them on 101 quoting incident number 653 of the 5th March. Alternatively call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
