Olympic Torch comes to Bassetlaw

RESIDENTS from East Markham and Tuxford can today find out which streets the Olympic Torch will travel along in June.

The torch will be making its way through Notts as part of its 8,000 mile journey around the UK before it arrives at the Olympic Stadium on 27th July.

It will arrive in East Markham on the morning of Thursday 28th June just after 9am and will travel along Askham Road, High Street, Hall Lane before making its way to Tuxford.

The flame will be displayed on Markham Road, Eldon Street and a short distance on the A6075 before it being carried on to Kirton.
