More funding for the arts

Arts Council England has announced the successful applicants to its Capital funding programme with audiences and artists across Yorkshire set to benefit.

The programme aims to help organisations to become more sustainable and resilient through the improvement of existing buildings and equipment.

Cluny Macpherson, regional director of Arts Council England, said: “We’re delighted that audiences and communities across Yorkshire will reap the rewards of this lottery investment in arts venues.”

“It’s testament to the innovative thinking of our regional arts organisations that there have been several successful awards in the region.”
