Man dies following Tickhill crash

A MAN has died following a car crash in Tickhill in the early hours of this morning.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said emergency services were called to St Mary’s Gate at 5.45am after a silver Hyundai Trajet struck bollards.

The male driver, in his early 50s, was taken to Doncaster Royal Infirmary where he died a short time after.

Police do not believe any other vehicles were involved in the collision.

Some local roads were closed following the crash, but were all opened again just before 9am.
