Man thrown from car in hospital with serious injuries

POLICE have revealed more details about a car accident which left a man with serious injuries.

Notts police confirmed that emergency services were called to Hundred Acre Lane, off The Green in Carlton, at around 12.50am this morning, Tuesday 4th December.

A Renault Laguna car had left the carriageway and hit a tree.

The driver, a 30-year-old man, was thrown from the car and sustained serious injuries.

He was taken to Bassetlaw Hospital but later transferred to the Northern General Hospital in Sheffield where he remains with potentially life-altering injuries.

No one else was injured and no other vehicle is believed to have been involved.

Witnesses or anyone with any information is asked to contact Notts Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
