A YOUNG Worksop man who was thrown out of a town centre night spot has been convicted of a public order offence.

Dale Catton, 22, of John Street, was spotted by police officers being removed from The Cornerhouse bar by door staff at 12.40am on 29th December.

Worksop magistrates heard how Catton had to be restrained after he became aggressive and kicked out at bouncers.

Defending, David Verity said Catton become angry after his girlfriend was refused entry to the bar. “He knows he should not have reacted like that,” he said.

Magistrates fined Catton £80 and made him pay a £20 victim surcharge.
