LISTEN TO: Thurcroft man's success at Jamie Oliver's Ministry of Food
SWAPPING his wellies for kitchen whites, a Thurcroft farmer has been a keen pupil of Jamie Oliver's Ministry of Food.
Willie Shepard, of Green Arbour Farm, was one of the original eight of Jamie's latest culinary venture.
In the four-part series, Oliver hopes to teach 'pyramid cooking' - where he trains eight people to cook, they each pass on the recipes to two of their friends, and they will do the same until 250,000 have been taught to cook.
"I was out with some mates at a football game over the weekend and one of them showed me a picture of some food he had prepared on his mobile," he said 50-year-old Willie.
"It's been a really positive experience and it's great to be able to pass some of that on."
