Holy Superhero! It's flying eagle...

MANY schoolboys dream of being a superhero – but one former Portland School pupil is living the dream as a real-life caped crusader.

Flying Eagle is the super-powered alter ego of Alex Elliott, a former painter and decorator from Carlton.

And the lime green Spandex-suited 33-year-old is hoping his zany persona will catapult him into the celebrity big time.

"I have the power of flight, x-ray hearing, the ability to run very fast and I'm extra strong," said Mr Eagle.

"I'm more of a helper than a fighter. I'm here to make the world a better place for its inhabitants and to bring entertainment wherever I go."

Having left Carlton 10 years ago to pursue his acting ambitions, Alex landed roles alongside such television luminaries as Ross Kemp in Ultimate Force.
