Help and tips to stop slips

Guardian News

ELDERLY people in Worksop are being offered a chance to replace the rubber tips on their walking sticks or frames for free to reduce the risk of trips or falls.

Through funding from the NHS, Notts County Council is offering replacement rubber tips at libraries and country parks across the county which can be fitted by staff.

Home adaptations are available such as the installation of stair rails, half-steps and exterior hand rails through the Council’s Handy Persons Adaptation Service (HPAS).

For more information call 0300 500 80 80 or email enquiries@nottscc.gov.uk
