Residents in Yorkshire will benefit from £30 million in the next financial year to protect homes and businesses against the risk of flooding.

A total of £30 million will be allocated by Defra to schemes in Yorkshire in 2012/13 for flood risk management projects, flood warning service improvements and maintenance schemes.
