Fined for indecency

A DRUNK Worksop man who urinated against a wall in Worksop town centre has been fined.

The offence was one of indecency, contrary to a Worksop by-law which rules against indecent language, gestures and actions.

Worksop magistrates heard how police stopped and cautioned Leslie York, 37, on 2nd June 2012 after seeing him urinate against a building in Bridge Place.

It was just before 3am in the morning and the officers said York seemed intoxicated.

York, of Newcastle Avenue, did not attend court on Thursday 7th February, so magistrates found the case proven in his absence. He must pay a total of £150 in fines and costs.
