Driver arrested after lorry overturns on A1

POLICE have arrested the driver of lorry which overturned on the A1 in the early hours of this morning (Friday 15th March 2013).

The 34-year-old driver was travelling northbound when the vehicle overturned near the A57 exit around 4.50am.

The southbound carriageway was closed for several hours and re-opened around 9.45am.
