Travellers to Madeira are being warned about Dengue Fever following a confirmed case affecting a UK holiday maker.

Dengue is a viral infection spread by mosquitoes. Anyone developing a fever or flu-like symptoms within two weeks of returning from a trip to Madeira should seek advice from their GP or NHS Direct.
