DAY 17 - Hear Neil Entwistle questioned by US trooper over killings
IN A TELEPHONE interview conducted by US state trooper Robert Manning with Neil Entwistle at his parent's Coleridge Road home in Worksop, Entwistle said that he had yet to cry about the deaths of his wife and baby.
The phone call, which was recorded in January 2006 after Rachel and Lillian Entwistle had been discovered shot dead at their Hopkinton home in Massachusetts, was played at Entwistle's double murder trial at Woburn, Massachusetts on Friday last week.
Entwistle was questioned about his state of mind and how he was dealing with the deaths. In the interview, Entwistle revealed that he had not mourned since finding his wife and daughter dead: "I haven't even cried yet, not properly. It is almost because I am here (Worksop) i t doesn't seem real, it's just a void," said Entwistle.
Trooper Manning also quizzed Entwistle about the part he played in the murders, to which Entwistle responded: "I couldn't do that. Why would I do that? It was just a normal day."
Entwistle denies both murder charges. The trial continues....
