Rotherham College of Arts and Technology is launching its 100 in 100 campaign to support people to find employment and training through apprenticeships.

The 100 in 100 campaign is a national initiative which aims to get 100 apprentices into training over 100 days.

Over the last three years the initiative has been a great success right across South Yorkshire, helping job seekers and employers alike.

And the college is once again taking on the challenge to raise awareness of the benefits of recruiting apprentices and to help local businesses grow.

The college is hoping to work with local businesses and key support partners to reach its target before the end of the 100 days in May.

As well as promoting recruitment, the college is also offering free support to businesses who take on an apprentice during this time.

Staff will also be running career events in the college’s state-of-the-art facilities throughout March.

Statistics compiled by the National Apprenticeship Service (NAS) show that over 80 per cent of employers who employ apprentices say that they make the workplace more productive.

And 92 per cent believe that apprenticeships lead to a more motivated and satisfied workforce.

Companies taking on an apprentice could also benefit from the Apprentice Grant for Employers (AGE) and could be eligible for a £1,500 grant paid to them to help their company grow further.
