One of Britain’s most outstanding young folk bands, who have shared the stage with legendary figures such as Steve Winwood, Joe Brown and Fairport Convention, are heading for an intimate one night show at a popular local music venue.
Manchester-based quartet 4Square have been hailed by critics for their original virtuosity - combining flawless vocal harmonies with unique, distinctive rhthyms and a touch of clog dancing too.
Highly acclaimed mandolin player Michael Giverin heads the line up with vocalists Nicola Lyons, Jim Molyneux and Dan Day on fiddle, piano, accordian and percussion.
Nicola’s spectacular clog dancing has wowed audiences all over Europe - as far afield as Norway, Sweden, the Czech Republic and Corfu.
Founded seven years ago, 4Square have appeared at most major festivals, including a memorable performance at Cropredy alongside folk celebrities Fairport Convention.
The band visits Letwell Village Hall on Good Friday, 18th April.
Tickets for the show, which starts at 8.30 pm, are available from Martyn Sharpe and Andy Swift on 07831350157 and 01909 540694.
