Donations were made to the special care baby unit at Bassetlaw Hospital from ladies of Worksop’s Knit and Natter group.

Items of clothing to keep the baby warm from little hats, mittens, cardigans and blankets were knitted by the group.

Member Jean Hodgkins said they try and do something every year for a worthy cause.

She added: “Last year we did one for the shoe box appeal and this year someone asked us to make a donation for the special care unit.”

“Everyone in the club knitted something themselves, I just put them together and helped to take them up.”

The Knit and Natter group meet once a week in The Crossing Church on Wednesday mornings. For further details call Jean on 07761 013471.
