Anyone visiting the library last Friday (28th March) was able to pause from their browsing and book borrowing for free tea or coffee and a slice of birthday cake.

Customers old and new, from the youngest visitors, to those who have been visiting from day one, were among those who dropped by to help celebrate reaching the milestone.

Pictured among those attending the event are staff members past and present including Susan Saundby, David Sockett, operational manager Jo Hinchliffe, Janet Cosgrove, Diane Harper, Margaret Toft, Jean Evans and the librarian from the original library building, 92 year-old Kath Barnes.
