A WORKSOP service for people with eating disorders is set to receive a boost as a former client prepares to take on a major challenge this May.

Helen Jones, who attended the FREED Beeches Eating Disorders Service, was so grateful for the help she received that she has decided to give something back.

She will take part in the Borneo Challenge, which involves running, cycling and whitewater rafting, and will donate all money raised to help FREED Beeches with its work.

The service, which now holds a prestigous Accreditation Standard from b-eat (formerly Eating Disorders Association), also benefitted from a special raffle which raised £550.

Trustee secretary Yvonne Boughton said: “We are very grateful to Helen for all her efforts and wish her well.”
