A new pharmacy has opened its doors in Clowne aimed at offering improved access to healthcare information and support.

The team at Lloyds Pharmacy are one of the first in the UK to offer the new apporach to community health and as part of the transformation have moved to new larger premises on Mill Green Way.

The pharmacy now offers free, enhanced services for a number of conditions including skin health and pain management. There is also a wider choice of skin and baby products, plus a new range of mobility products have been introduced.

The new premises were officially opened by local resident George Milnes, 76 - a loyal customer for over 30 years and a well-known fundraiser - infront of pharmacy manager Aamir Shahzad and his 10 colleagues.

Mr Shahzad said: “We know many sufferers from long-term conditions don’t always want to go to the doctor every time they have a question.”

”What we are doing is providing services that complement GPs and other healthcare professionals in convenient, pleasant surroundings.”
