THREE, two, one, blast off!

Kids will get the chance to blast off into space this half-term thanks to a week of astronomical activities at Magna.

The science adventure park in Rotherham will be helping youngsters to design, build and test their very own water rocket.

Rocket workshops will be taking place throughout each day of half-term, from Monday 21st to Friday 25th February, except Wednesday.

A Magna spokesman said: “Join us and build your very own rocket. You can become an engineer and test your design.”

Wednesday 23rd February wil be Nano Technology Day. Workshops held on that day will explore the exciting world of nanotechnology.

The spokesman said: “Imagine a world where you are 1,500 million times smaller. You can see all the atoms and particles that make up your chair.

“Imagine using those atoms to build new and exciting things. Our workshops allow you to explore this exciting world.”

Magna is celebrating its tenth anniversary this year.

All full day priced tickets to Magna include a further 12 months entry free of charge.

Visitors simply need to complete a Many Magna Returns form when buying tickets or collecting an online order.

Many Magna Returns means visitors can come back to Magna as many times as they wish throughout the year and experience more exciting workshops and activities.
