The Hub in Retford is urging people to get creative this summer.
Located on Churchgate in the town, the venue will be a hive of activity this summer.
On Tuesday evenings there are classes for card stamping and papercraft.
Then there is the art club which is a gentle introduction to art – no formal instruction is given but advice is always available if it is needed.
There are opportunities for participants to do their own thing or if they feel more comfortable they can follow a set project or even experiment with something completely different.
New members are always very welcome at the Thursday art club which is led by resident artist at the Hub, Cath Ray.
And every Wednesday from 1pm to 3pm during the summer holidays there will be a small and friendly kids art club which will be a lot of fun as well as being educational with a different project to have a go at every week.
Sessions are £5 per child and can be booked individually or as a block of six.
It is not all for the children either, there are summertime art sessions for adults and teens which cater for all levels of ability.
These will be on Mondays from 1pm to 3pm and again on Thursday evenings from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.
Still-life, portraits, buildings and townscapes are just some of the subjects covered in these sessions.
These sessions are extremely popular and so it is strongly advised to book in advance.
So, if you feel that it’s time to get creative, The Hub is waiting to hear from you.
And as well as taking part in events at the venue, The Hub is also looking for new volunteers to help with the day-to-day running of the venue – particularly on Mondays.
If you have some time If you have some time to spare and would like to get involved – or you know of anyone who might benefit from getting involved – then drop into the venue, call 01777 860414, or visit www.retfordhub.org or their Facebook page for further information.
