As a final act to commemorate the centenary of John Coupland Hospital caring for the injured during World War One a time capsule has been installed.

The capsule was buried by Alan Hardwick, Police and Crime Commissioner for Lincolnshire, David Lomas, John Coupland Hospital Charities President and Gainsborough Mayor, Coun Mick Tinker, on 20th October.

The capsule contains items such as the winning drawing by Ben Richardson of how he imagined the hospital would look in the future, pictures of local people at local events, information about the hospital from 2014 and small items such as committee gadgets and remembrance poppies.
