Fundraising event for cats

A FUNDRAISING event will take place in Creswell next week to raise cash for the Cat Protection charity.

Creswell School’s Parents Council decided to organise the event after a cat was discovered trapped in an illegal snare in the village.

They wanted to do something to Cat Protection, who are looking after the cat called Herbie.

The event is at the Creswell Social Centre, Elmton Road on Saturday 26th March from 1pm-2.30pm.

There will be various stalls selling a variety of goods such as jewellery, toys, cakes and bric-a-brac.

Admission is free and refreshments will be available.

Cat Protection will also be at the event giving away masks and balloon to youngsters and informing people about the work it does.
