THE glorious sunshine ensured that Retford’s annual Charter Day was a huge success.
Hundreds of people flocked to Retford town centre to enjoy the many free attractions on offer.
The May Day event marks the granting of the town charter in 1246, and has become one of the biggest ﬁxtures in the Bassetlaw calendar.
It kicked off with the traditional parade, before events began in Market Square and Kings’ Park.
