The Guardian has teamed up with Miss Poppy’s Coffee Shop to offer every reader a scone with jam and cream - worth £1.85.
The coffee shop is situated upstairs in Eyres in Market Place. Julie, Stephen and the team offer delicious homemade food in comfortable surroundings.
They serve everything from a full English breakfast to homemade meat and potato pie and toasted sandwiches.
On the menu are a range of freshly homemade pot meals, including chilli, broccoli and Stilton baked lasagne and salmon and broccoli pasta bake-all served with salad and a choice of chips, wedges or jacket potato.
A breakfast menu is also available until 12pm, which includes a full breakfast special for just £4.70.
For those wanting something a bit lighter then there are jacket potatoes with various fillings, salads, sandwiches and freshly made omelettes. Popular choices are the homemade quiche and pies, including meat and potato, mince and onion and steak and kidney.
For those with a sweet tooth, then you mustn’t leave without trying Miss Poppy’s famous lemon meringue pie and banofee pie.
Available daily are cheese and fruit scones, with other flavours including chocolate chip and blueberry often available.
A range of gluten free meals, cakes and scone are also available, ensuring that everyone is catered for.
To claim your free scone simply fill in the vouchers and present it at the coffee shop between 28th November and 4th December.
