As the rain came down yesterday one mum could not believe how people were acting.
Kirsty Hunt-Miller, 40, was cooking tea for her two children when the rain started.
She told her children that they would go out and see how bad the water was.
When they got to Kilton Hill, in Worksop, Kirsty could not believe what she was seeing.
She said: “The water was rushing down the hill so fast, the pavement was covered and the water was so high.
“There were cars attempting to cross the water and one little blue one was out of its depth and the back end was submerged. “I drive a Land Rover but even I was prepared to try and get across, I don’t know what some people thought they were thinking.
“In all my years I have never seen anything like it before.
“The children were so excited and I think they were really pleased we braved the rain and went out.”
