Pupils from Rudston Preparatory School took time out from their lessons to bring a little festive cheer to the residents and staff at Rotherham Hospice on Broom Road.

Under the direction of teacher Mrs Jane Ledwood the children from years 5 and 6 sang a series of traditional Christmas Carols as well as a selection of new festive songs.

Principal Guy Willatt said: “Rudston School has a long tradition for music and we always make the short walk up Broom Road just before Christmas to the hospice.

“We’re warmly welcomed by staff and residents alike every year and the children enjoy spending time singing carols to hopefully put a smile on people’s faces at this time of year.”
