Pupils at Aston Springwood Primary School held a remembrance service to mark Armistice Day and made clay poppies.

Aston Springwood Primary School, on Aughton Lane, Rotherham, paid their respects on remembrance day by making their own clay poppies.

The poppies were placed around the school’s new war memorial, which was built by a resident in the village earlier in the year.

Two representatives from each class then laid reefs around the memorial to show their respects to the fallen heros. Vicar Father Ian, parents and officials from the British Legion and the TA joined to watched the event.
