BASSETLAW Heart Support: Of the meeting held Friday 4th March at Retford Hospital, over 30 members enjoyed a visit from Richard Hadfield (Landlord Brewers Arms at Clayworth). Richard gave an interesting and amusing talk regarding life as the landlord of a public house and eaterie. The present climate has seen the closure of around 40,000 pubs in the last year. Richard was pleased to report that his business is presently doing quite well and he and his family enjoy their working and home life in Clayworth. (Suggest you book a table if you wish to eat). Small groups of our members enjoyed their scheduled visit to Doncaster (Robin Hood Airport). Thanks to all concerned there. Next meeting - Friday 1st April at Bassetlaw Hospital Post Grad Centre at 2.30pm, when the speaker will be Kathleen McGunigal (Cardiac Failure Nurse). All welcome. Parking free.
