STEP2IT Dukeries, Kilton Forest Golf Club: Health/Leisure walks every Thursday, commencing at 10am. Walks are one mile (beginners), three miles, five miles and occasionally seven miles. Mondays 6.30pm one mile for beginners and three miles. All walks are free and no special equipment is needed. Evening walks will restart on 4th April 2011. U3A University Of The Third Age: Open to all older people who are no longer in gainful full-time employment. There are many groups within the association offering a diverse range of activities - theatre, swing band, steel band, gardening, walking, art appreciation, French, poetry, Tai Chi, crafts, computers, photography, etc. If you are interested, do come along to our meeting or ring the Chairman on: 01909 565944 for further details. WORKSOP and District Stroke Club: Meets first and third Thursdays of each month 7pm at The Crossing. All stroke victims and their carers are assured of a warm, friendly welcome. During the year a series of slide shows, speakers, bands and choirs provide the focal point of meetings and there is a regular update of stroke-related news. WORKSOP Miners Welfare Band: We run rehearsals at the Miners Welfare on Gateford Road on Mondays for the training band 7-7.30pm, and Wednesdays for the main band 7.30-9pm. We are always looking to make new players welcome and experience is not necessary as we provide free tuition and loan of instrument. We are particularly looking for trombone or bass players.
