Women told police she stole coats

A WOMAN who stole six coats from a Worksop clothing shop handed herself into police, Worksop Magistrates’ Court heard.

Gemma Wood, 29, stole £150 worth of coats from Matalan on 30th November, last year.

“Police were told by Ms Wood that she had committed the theft. She handed herself in and told them. Six coats were taken and another person was involved but she refused to name them,” said prosecutor Catherine Picardo

Wood, of Dennis Street, Worksop admitted theft and failing to appear in court on a previous date. She was given a nine month community order supervision and six months of alcohol treatment.
