A TEENAGER from Whitwell Common has been fined for possessing party drug MCAT.
Worksop Magistrates’ Court heard how Owen James Marshall, 18, had been out celebrating his birthday in Worksop on 27th August last year.
The teen, of Southgate Bungalows, was asked to produce some identification on entering a bar, when bouncers seized the drug.
Prosecuting, Judith Kirkham said Marshall admitted straight away he had bought the drug for £30.
Defending, Ian Pridham said: “He is at college doing bricklaying. This is his first time in court and he has lost his good name.”
He was fined £30 and made to pay £15 victim surcharge and £70 costs.
