A YOUNG man from Worksop has been disqualified and fined after admitting drink-driving.

Lee Kendal Sainthouse, from Greenwood Close pleaded guilty to driving a Renault Clio whilst over the limit on Eastgate in the early hours of 13th July.

Appearing before court on 26th July, the 21-year-old claimed that after parking the car outside the Anchor pub, he only wanted to drive a few hundred yards down the road to leave the car at a friend’s house where it would be more safe. After just a few meters, Sainthouse said he had ‘second thoughts’ and reversed back to where it originally was. Police stopped him and he failed a breath test.
