A DAD damaged property at his ex-partner’s Whitwell home in a fit of jealousy, a court heard.
Kerry-Anne Hockney had been in two-year relationship with Matthew Fearn, 22, of Dixon Road, Chesterfield that ended after Christmas.
“She says he was controlling and told her which friends she could or could not see,” said Sarah Haslam, prosecuting. She had allowed Fearn to visit her home to see their child on 14th January.
“He mentioned her friend Kirk on Facebook. He was jealous and asked about him and they began to argue. He then kicked the door at the top of the stairs and made a hole in it.”
Fearn admitted damaging property and was fined £115, with £85 costs, and ordered to pay £80 compensation to Bolsover Council.
