A FATHER crashed into a car when he bent down to adjust the heating, a court heard.

Robert Sime, 30, was driving along Carlton Road when the accident happened on 2nd June.

Sime, of Riddell Avenue, Langold admitted driving without due care and attention.

Worksop Magistrates Court heard that a woman was at a junction when Sime crashed into the back of her car.

The force was so much that the drivers chair broke and was stuck in the reclining position and she suffered whiplash.

Ian Pridham, defending, said Sime was driving under the speed limit and because it was a hot day he had leaned down to adjust the heating.

Sime was ordered to pay a £100 fine and £15 victim surcharge and was given six penalty points.
