Five people are wanted to sit on a panel to oversee the governance of Notts Police.
Police and crime commissioner Paddy Tipping and chief constable Chris Eyre are seeking five independent people for a joint audit and scrutiny panel.
The Panel will advise the PCC and chief cons on the effectiveness of the arrangements in place to ensure quality and good value local policing.
It will also ensure that recommendations from Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary (HMIC) and other organisations are implemented.
Deputy commissioner Chris Cutland said: “We really want to involve local people in every way we can, so their views are reflected by the way we prioritise and deliver services. We are equally keen this panel will reflect the diverse communities of Nottingham and Notts.”
“We want to hear from professionally experienced independent people who care about local policing issues. We hope they will be prepared to provide challenge and understanding to help us deliver further improvements and ensure value for money.”
