Vesuvius inquiry date set

The planning inquiry into development of the Vesuvius site in Worksop, has been set for February next year.

Developers Commercial Estates Group appealed to the High Court when Secretary of State Eric Pickles said no the their proposals at a previous inquiry, and his decision was quashed earlier this year.

A new inquiry will take place at Queens Buildings, Potter Street, starting at 10am on 6th February 2014.

Proposals are for a supermarket, believed to be ASDA, and a community sports facility – which has been earmarked as a home for Worksop Town, although not for their exclusive use.
