On 28th May 1973 TV presenter Marylyn Webb opened Lea Park at Lea village.

Some 40 years later it became the goal of Darron Childs, author of The Last Baronet’s of Old Gainsborough, to reunite Marylyn with people who attended the celebrations. He was assisted by the Delvers local history group, who raised funds to site a new blue plaque next to the original stone tablet to mark a notable date in local history.
