New McDonald’s is due in Spring

ONE of the most talked about and anticipated developments is a brand new McDonald’s restaurant for the town.
The application to build a 330 square metre, 85-seater drive-through restaurant with 31 parking spaces on land opposite the Tesco store near Beaumont Street, Trinity Street was granted by West Lindsey Council in December 2010.
McDonald’s has also said that the restaurant will create 25 full time and 40 part time jobs.
Development of the fast-food restaurant was delayed due to the company being ‘in negotiations with developers’ - but now we can reveal that construction of the restaurant is due to start this Spring.
Danielle Simons from Charlotte Court, Gainsborough said: “I think it’s brilliant and can’t wait to start taking a detour there on my way to work in the mornings.”
Fellow Gainsborough resident David Bartle added: “I’ll believe it when they finally, actually, definitely start building it.”
