East Midlands Ambulance Service (EMAS) is searching for a new non-executive director.

The role involves offering an independent view to help make a positive difference to the lives of people across the East Midlands.

Pauline Tagg, chairman of EMAS said “This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in business and strategic planning, service development and senior management to help us in our ambition to provide the best possible care to our patients.”

“A solid knowledge of finance would also be an advantage.”

“Non-executive directors offer an independent viewpoint on how the service operates and anyone interested in learning more is invited to come along to talk with me and my non-executive director colleagues at an open information session which is being held on Thursday 6th March 2014 between 4pm and 6pm at EMAS Trust Headquarters, 1 Horizon Place, Mellors Way, Nottingham Business Park.”

“We particularly welcome applications from women, people from the local black and minority ethnic communities, and disabled people who we know are under-represented in chair and non-executive roles.”

Application forms and more information about the role can be found on the NHS Trust Development Authority website http://www.ntda.nhs.uk

The closing date is 20th March 2014 at 11am.
