FRUSTRATION overcame a Retford man who smashed his partner’s door in rage that she was seeing someone else.

Peter Thompson, 44, of Hillcrest Mews, admitted causing £802 worth of damage to Jenny Hoyle’s door on 20th November.

Worksop magistrates heard how he had kicked the door during an argument after he found out she had been having a fling.

David Verity, defending, said Thompson had no history of violence. “She has now realised the other relationship wasn’t going anywhere and wants him back. He’s happy to give it a go,” he said.

Magistrates ordered Thompson to pay £250 compensation to Ms Hoyle.
