THE bells were ringing out at Clumber Park for a historical event to celebrate the first day of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Visitors, staff and volunteers gathered by the Lake at 8.12am to hear the Chapel’s bell mark the start of a three-minute bicycle bell ring at Clumber.
Turner Prize-winning artist and musician Martin Creed invited everyone in the country to take part in Worksop No. 1197: All the bells in a country ring as quickly and as loudly as possible for three minutes at 8.12 on 27th July 2012.
