A studio gallery artist will expanding the ability of students with a creative workshop.

As part of Worksop College’s Open Month Phil Neal from the Harley Gallery, on Mansfield Road, Welbeck will being giving a lesson in working with wire.

He will be taking the class on Wednesday, October 14 at 2pm and the session is open for students in Years 7 to 13.

Phil comes from a medical background having trained in prosthetics at Guy’s Hospital & Queen Mary’s Roehampton, he has also spent many years in Design Engineering and now undertakes work in all mediums. He is passionate about art education.

He said: “I like to use as much recycled material as possible to inspire as well as educate.

“I always try to ensure that the craft and aesthetic of my work will harmonise with the environment in which it is placed.”
