Have your say

It really is amazing what you can sometimes stumble across when you’re not even looking for it.

While elegantly perusing a Worksop store the other day I came upon something I thought had been all but eradicated from the town. Smak.

Not only that, but these bags of smak were being sold for just 40p each.

It’s a scandal. What’s being done about it? Where’s John Mann when you need him?

Hey! John! The smak bandwaggon is rolling through town - jump on board.

After I got over my initial shock, I decided to purchase some so that I could do some detective work.

Judging by the packaging, it seems these bags of smak are being shipped over from Poland.

I needed some guinea pigs to test out this stuff, so I took it to the Guardian news desk.

They decided the best method to ingest it would be to eat it, and reported back that it tasted like ‘twigs covered in salt’.

So, it may be legal after all, but that doesn’t make it right.
