GETTING behind our appeal to support soldiers from our district are Worksop's Papa's Fish and Chips shop.
Every penny spent at the High Hoe Road shop on Sunday 5th July will go directly towards helping our lads and lasses on the frontline.

The Guardian has been calling on people to dig deep and think of soldiers serving their country across the world.

Owner Syd Papas is celebrating one year in the town and wants to give something back to the community to say thank you.

"Every single penny we take this Sunday will go towards helping the troops," he said.

The shop is open on Sunday from 12 noon - 10.30pm and everyone is invited to go along to raise money for our brave soldiers.

To read more about the Support Our Troops appeal, you can go to the special section on our website at www.worksopguardian.co.uk.

If you want to drop off boxes of goods for the troops, they are calling for non-perishable goods like shaving foam, footcare products, shower gel and flip flops.
